The ACCUPRO 12182082 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) coating, this tool delivers high heat resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The corner radius measures 0.015 inches, reducing stress concentration at the cutting edge and improving surface finish in profiling and contouring passes. It carries a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 3 inch overall length. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments.
This end mill is suited for milling operations requiring a controlled corner radius on finished part edges. The single-end, centercutting design supports both plunge and peripheral cutting. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with surface finish, making it a practical choice for slotting, profiling, and pocketing in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where AlTiN coatings perform well.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill for standard 1/2 inch collet or end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring a corner radius cutting tool.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers. Secure the 1/2 inch shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring the holder is clean and free of debris before tightening. Confirm spindle speed and feed rate are set according to the material being cut and the tool manufacturer guidelines for AlTiN-coated carbide tooling. Do not exceed the rated length of cut to avoid deflection or tool breakage.
