The ACCUPRO 12182044 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 13/32 inch (0.4063 inch) cutting diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 2-3/4 inch overall length. The micrograin carbide substrate provides wear resistance and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. A TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating reduces friction and extends tool life in abrasive applications. The 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is sized for machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills operated by machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill suits general-purpose profiling, slotting, and peripheral milling operations in a machine shop or production environment. The centercutting design allows plunge entry into the workpiece, making it suitable for ramping and pocket-milling applications without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The 7/16 inch shank fits standard ER and end mill holders used on vertical machining centers. Its regular-length classification makes it a practical choice for most standard-depth milling operations where rigidity and deflection control are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard 7/16 inch end mill holders or collet-style toolholders on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Installation and tool changes must be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in an estop or locked-out state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Seat the 7/16 inch shank fully into the holder before tightening set screws or collet nuts to the holder manufacturer's specified torque using a calibrated torque wrench. Inspect the cutting edges and coating for chips or damage before mounting. Confirm runout with a dial indicator after tool mounting to minimize premature edge wear.
