The ACCUPRO 12182017 is a single-end, centercutting corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding cutting applications. The tool features a 3/8-inch mill diameter, a 7/8-inch length of cut, and a 0.02-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in contour and profile milling work. With a bright, uncoated finish and right-hand flute direction, it is suited for general-purpose milling where cutting fluid is used for lubrication and chip evacuation. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals rely on this geometry for clean edge finishes in CNC and manual milling setups.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC knee mills, and manual milling machines performing slot milling, profiling, and contour work. The three-flute spiral design balances chip clearance and rigidity, making it appropriate for medium to light-duty cuts in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The centercutting capability allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the recommended gauge-line depth and verify runout with a dial indicator before starting the cut. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
