The ACCUPRO 12181959 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal-cutting environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with titanium carbonitride (TiCN), it delivers wear resistance and hardness suited to ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The tool features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, a 0.030 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle. Overall length is 2-1/2 inches with a 1/4 inch shank diameter. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in vertical machining centers and mill-drill setups where a protected corner edge is required to reduce chipping and extend tool life.
This end mill is suited for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations where a controlled corner radius is specified in the part print. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. Right-hand cutting direction makes it compatible with standard CNC spindle rotation. The TiCN coating reduces friction and built-up edge, making it a practical choice for alloy steels, tool steels, and cast iron at moderate to aggressive feed rates. It is sold as a single unit and is a direct bench replacement or tool crib addition in job shops and production environments.
Designed as a standard shank corner radius end mill for use in collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tooling accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter across vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Verify that the holder bore and collet are clean and free of debris before seating the shank to the specified grip length. Do not exceed the tool manufacturer's recommended depth-of-cut or feed rate parameters for the workpiece material and machine setup.
