The ACCUPRO 12181951 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and composite materials. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.030 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the base of milled features. The cutter is ground from micrograin solid carbide for superior hardness and wear resistance. With 3 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright/uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose machining. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this cutter in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is used in job shops, production machining, and tool rooms where a controlled corner radius is required to blend floor-to-wall transitions in pockets, slots, and profiles. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled starting hole. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets and end mill holders common to most CNC vertical machining centers and knee mills. It is suited for light to medium material removal in aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, and mild steel.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement-style cutter for standard 1/4 inch shank end mill holders, ER collet chucks, and hydraulic or shrink-fit tooling systems used in CNC vertical machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a cut, as excessive runout accelerates edge wear and reduces corner radius accuracy.
