The ACCUPRO 12181902 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding machining environments. With a 1/8 inch cutting diameter, a 0.02 inch corner radius, and a 3-flute geometry, this tool produces smooth corner transitions while maintaining edge strength. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in hard and abrasive materials. At 1-1/2 inches overall length with a 1/2 inch length of cut, it suits tight-reach profiling and slotting operations. The micrograin carbide substrate supports sharp edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments rely on this geometry for consistent results.
This end mill is suited for profiling, contouring, slotting, and finish milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The right-hand spiral flute direction and right-hand cutting direction make it compatible with standard CNC machining centers and manual mills. The centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled pilot hole. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces during finish passes. It is a single-end tool intended for single-setup use in precision part production.
Designed as a standard 1/8 inch shank end mill compatible with collet-style and ER-style toolholders sized for 1/8 inch shank diameters on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator using an appropriate collet or toolholder rated for 1/8 inch shank diameters. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and powered down before inserting or removing the tool. Verify runout at the shank and cutting diameter before beginning a production run, as shank diameter tolerance is -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque guidance for set screws or collet nuts to prevent slippage during cutting.
