The ACCUPRO 12181887 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Built from micrograin carbide, it offers a 0.125-inch cutting diameter with a 0.5-inch length of cut and a 1.5-inch overall length. The three-flute, spiral configuration runs a 40-degree helix angle for efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The uncoated finish suits applications where coating chemistry must match the base material. This tool is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry. It is used by machinists and toolroom operators on CNC mills, machining centers, and manual knee mills.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and contouring in light to medium-duty applications. The regular-length geometry fits standard tool holders without extension. With a 0.125-inch shank diameter matching the cutting diameter, it seats directly in ER collets, precision drill chucks, and other appropriate tool holders. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional CNC spindle operation. It performs well in aluminum, brass, plastics, and softer steel alloys where an uncoated micrograin carbide edge is appropriate.
Designed as a standard 1/8-inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet systems, precision chucks, and other tool holders accepting a 0.125-inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Power down and lock out the spindle before seating or removing the tool. Ensure the collet or chuck is clean and free of debris before clamping to achieve proper runout tolerances. Verify spindle speed and feed rate are set for the workpiece material before engaging the cut; consult the applicable speeds-and-feeds reference for micrograin carbide at this diameter.
