The ACCUPRO 12181883 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding machining environments. It features a 1-inch mill diameter, a 1-3/4-inch length of cut, and a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentration at the cutting edge and extends tool life in profiling and contouring applications. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and hardness at elevated cutting temperatures, making it well suited for hard steels, stainless alloys, and cast iron. With 3 right-hand spiral flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, this end mill promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry and ramping operations. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is built for milling operations on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills requiring a corner radius profile. It handles slotting, side milling, profiling, and pocket milling where a sharp 90-degree corner is not acceptable or where edge strength is a priority. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tight tolerances and consistent performance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 1-inch shank diameter fits standard ER collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders sized for 1-inch shanks. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes depending on depth of cut and feed selection.

Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a safe, powered-down state. Confirm that the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank to the recommended engagement depth. Torque retention screws or collet nuts to the toolholder manufacturer specifications using the appropriate spanner or torque wrench. Verify runout with a dial test indicator before beginning cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate wear and compromise corner radius accuracy.
