The ACCUPRO 12181874 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 0.03 inch corner radius, and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating, this tool delivers extended tool life and wear resistance in demanding machining environments. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds and feeds compared to standard carbide grades. It is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can be plunged directly into a workpart. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and milling machines for profiling, slotting, and contouring operations.
This end mill is suited for production and job-shop milling applications where a controlled edge radius is required to reduce stress concentrations in machined pockets and profiles. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting geometry are compatible with standard CNC spindle configurations. The 1-3/4 inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes, while the 4 inch overall length provides adequate clearance for most standard setups. This tool is appropriate for use in aerospace, mold-and-die, and general precision machining applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tooling option for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1 inch straight shank end mill with standard ER or end mill holder collet systems.
This tool is installed by a machinist or toolroom technician using an appropriate end mill holder or collet chuck rated for 1 inch shank tooling. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Follow the machine tool manufacturer torque specifications for the collet nut or set-screw holder. Verify runout at the cutting edge after installation before beginning a cut.
