The ACCUPRO 12181839 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metal, composites, and engineering plastics. With a 3/8-inch cutting diameter and a 1-1/2-inch length of cut, this tool delivers clean, flat-bottomed profiles and shoulder milling paths in a single pass. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. At 6 inches overall length, this is an extra-long configuration suited for deep-reach applications where standard-length end mills cannot access the workpart. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for high-speed machining on CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill is intended for use in metalworking, tool-and-die, mold making, and general machining applications where extended reach is required. The extra-long overall length makes it well suited for milling deep cavities, tall workpiece setups, or fixtures that prevent close spindle approach. The uncoated finish is appropriate for applications where coatings may introduce dimensional build-up concerns or when machining non-ferrous materials. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC programmers operating vertical or horizontal machining centers.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/8-inch straight shank.
Install and secure the shank in a compatible collet, end mill holder, or set-screw holder rated for 3/8-inch shanks, ensuring the tool is seated to the recommended gauge line depth before tightening. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before any tool change. Confirm runout with a dial indicator when tight tolerances are required, as extended-reach end mills are more sensitive to holder concentricity. This tooling is intended for use by trained machinists following applicable shop safety and machine guarding practices.
