The ACCUPRO 12181825 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide stock and finished with a titanium carbonitride (TiCN) coating, it delivers high wear resistance and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The mill measures 0.5625 inches in cutting diameter with a 2-inch length of cut and a 6-inch overall length, placing it in the long-series category. The 2-flute configuration and 40-degree spiral helix promote efficient chip evacuation in slotting and profiling cuts. Installation and use are handled by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill suits applications requiring extended reach into deep pockets, slots, or stepped features where a standard-length tool cannot clear the workpiece. The centercutting geometry allows it to plunge directly into material as well as perform conventional peripheral milling. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute orientation match the standard spindle rotation of most vertical machining centers and knee mills. It is appropriate for finish and semi-finish passes in steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials where TiCN coating provides a friction and temperature advantage over uncoated carbide.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use cutting tool for standard 9/16-inch collet or end mill holder systems on vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills accepting right-hand tooling.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet, end mill holder, or Weldon-style holder and torque to the tool holder manufacturer's specification. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an estop or locked-out state before tool changes. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed per tooth for the workpiece material, and verify runout at the cutting tip does not exceed acceptable limits before beginning a production cycle.
