The ACCUPRO 12181771 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin carbide and finished with a TiCN coating, it delivers extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The 2-flute, 40-degree helix spiral flute geometry promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. At 6 inches overall length with a 3-inch length of cut, this is an extra-long configuration suited to deep-pocket and extended-reach operations. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece. CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary users.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal milling centers where extended reach into deep cavities or tall workpiece features is required. The 3/4-inch diameter and matching 3/4-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard ER, side-lock, and shrink-fit toolholders of that bore size. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction conform to conventional spindle rotation on most CNC machining centers. Typical applications include die milling, mold work, and deep-slot cutting in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened materials where a TiCN-coated micrograin carbide tool is the appropriate choice.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC milling applications requiring a 3/4-inch square end mill with a 3/4-inch shank in extended-length configurations.
Installation is performed by qualified CNC machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an E-stop or powered-down state before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the toolholder and torque retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning a cut to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
