The ACCUPRO 12181739 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance material removal in milling applications. Built from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it handles elevated cutting temperatures and extends tool life in ferrous and hardened materials. The 2-flute geometry with a 40-degree helix spiral flute promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces. At 3/4 inch in diameter with a 2-1/4 inch length of cut and 5-inch overall length, this is a long-length configuration suited for deep-pocket and extended-reach milling passes. Centercutting capability allows direct plunge entry without a pilot hole. Installation and operation are handled by CNC machinists and toolroom operators.
This end mill is appropriate for milling operations on machining centers, CNC vertical mills, and manual knee mills where a long length of cut is required. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for conventional spindle-up milling setups. The AlTiN finish makes it well-suited for dry or semi-dry cutting in ferrous alloys, tool steels, and similar hard materials where heat resistance is critical. The long-length design supports deep slot milling, cavity work, and step milling where standard-length end mills cannot reach the full depth of cut.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and direct-fit tooling option for standard 3/4 inch diameter end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is installed and operated by CNC machinists or qualified toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the shank fully and squarely in the tool holder to the recommended gauge length to avoid runout and premature tool failure. Verify spindle speed and feed rate parameters against the material being cut before engaging the workpiece — do not rely on generic defaults for carbide tooling in hardened materials.
