The ACCUPRO 12181707 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built from micrograin carbide, this tool offers a 3/4 inch cutting diameter with a 1 inch length of cut and a 40-degree helix angle that promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The 2-flute, spiral-flute geometry is suited to applications where chip clearance and surface finish are priorities. At 3 inches overall length with a 3/4 inch shank, this is a compact stub-length tool intended for rigid setups where deflection must be minimized. It is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into material. Installation and use require a qualified machinist or CNC operator.
This end mill is suited to milling slots, pockets, and profiles in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a high-performance carbide tool is required. The uncoated finish and micrograin substrate make it a solid choice for applications where coating buildup could cause dimensional issues or where the workpiece material responds better to an uncoated edge. Right-hand cut and right-hand flute geometry match standard CNC and manual milling machine spindle configurations. Typical use is in job shops, maintenance machining, and production environments running steel, stainless, aluminum, or similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide square end mill for standard 3/4 inch collet or end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with tool-holder torque procedures and runout verification. Always power down and lock out the spindle before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and holder cleanliness before securing; debris in the bore can cause runout that damages the cutting edge or the workpiece. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when selecting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut for the material being machined.
