The ACCUPRO 12181605 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 0.1772 inch (4.50 mm) diameter with a 0.374 inch (9.50 mm) length of cut and a 6.00 mm shank diameter. The micrograin carbide construction provides rigidity and edge retention at small diameters. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This stub-length end mill is sized for applications where tool deflection must be minimized and where reach into deep cavities is not required. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users.
This end mill is suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a small-diameter, center-cutting tool is needed. The uncoated micrograin carbide construction makes it appropriate for dry or wet cutting in aluminum, brass, and mild steels. Its stub-length configuration reduces overhang and improves rigidity on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. Right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute geometry follow standard toolholder conventions, making setup straightforward on most spindle configurations.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Seat the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the recommended grip length to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not exceed the recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the tool diameter, as small-diameter carbide end mills are susceptible to breakage under excessive load.
