The ACCUPRO 12181572 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in tight tolerances and small-feature applications. With a 1/16 inch (0.0625 inch) mill diameter and a 2-flute, spiral flute geometry at a 30-degree helix angle, this tool delivers clean cuts in a wide range of materials. The stub-length configuration keeps overhang minimal, improving rigidity and reducing deflection. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and edge retention needed for high-feed, small-diameter work. This is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute, single-end tool with a centercutting design, making it capable of plunge entry as well as conventional profiling and slotting operations.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers, manual mills, and high-speed spindle setups where small-diameter tooling is required. Typical applications include micro-profiling, slot milling, and detail work in aluminum, brass, plastics, and soft to medium steels. The 1/8 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders used in production and toolroom environments. The uncoated finish makes it a straightforward choice for general-purpose cutting where coating is not required or where re-sharpening is anticipated.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide square end mill for use in standard collet chucks and end mill holders accepting a 1/8 inch shank diameter, compatible with CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Insert the shank to the recommended engagement depth in the collet or holder and torque the retention hardware per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerances are critical.
