The ACCUPRO 12181565 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in demanding metalworking applications. With a 0.9843-inch diameter and a 1.4961-inch length of cut, this two-flute tool features an AlTiN coating that provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting ferrous and hardened materials. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. Built from micrograin carbide, it delivers consistent dimensional accuracy and edge integrity across production runs. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tooling professionals in job shop and production machining environments.
This end mill suits horizontal and vertical CNC milling machines as well as manual knee mills handling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar hard materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot milling. The spiral flute design and right-hand cut with right-hand flute make it a standard choice for conventional and climb milling operations requiring a regular-length reach. It is well suited to applications where chip clearance and surface finish consistency are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard tooling option for CNC and manual milling machines accepting a 0.9843-inch (25.00 mm) shank diameter end mill with a regular-length profile.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Verify collet or end mill holder bore matches the 0.9843-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated and torqued per the holder manufacturer specifications. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before commencing a cut, and review speeds and feeds for AlTiN-coated carbide tooling in the applicable workpiece material.
