The ACCUPRO 12181552 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch diameter, a 1-1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and produces a smooth, controlled radius at the base of milled features. The AlTiN coating provides high heat resistance and extended tool life in demanding ferrous and hard-alloy applications. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flutes, this tool promotes efficient chip evacuation and clean surface finishes. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, toolrooms, and production environments will find it suited to profiling, slotting, and finish milling passes.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills where a corner radius profile is required to meet part geometry specifications or to improve fatigue resistance in milled pockets and contours. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional side milling. The micrograin carbide substrate supports use in alloy steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and similar hard materials. It is sold individually and is appropriate for both production runs and prototype work where tight tolerances are required.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/4 inch diameter collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator familiar with toolholder torque requirements and runout specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before loading or removing the tool. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the toolholder to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning a production operation.
