The ACCUPRO 12181539 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch diameter cutting head with a 1-1/2 inch length of cut and a 4 inch overall length. The 2-flute, spiral geometry runs at a 40-degree helix angle, promoting efficient chip evacuation and reducing heat buildup at the cutting edge. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, extending tool life in abrasive cutting environments. Micrograin carbide construction supports tight tolerances and consistent edge integrity across production runs. This tool is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators in job shop and production environments.
This end mill suits a range of milling applications including slotting, profiling, and side milling on vertical and horizontal machining centers. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, adding flexibility in contouring and pocket-milling operations. The right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration matches the standard spindle rotation on the majority of CNC mills and manual knee mills. Its regular-length geometry makes it well suited for general-purpose work where extended reach is not required. The 3/4 inch shank diameter is compatible with standard ER collets, end mill holders, and milling chucks common across most machine tool setups.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement end mill for any setup using a 3/4 inch shank toolholder, including ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Confirm the shank is fully seated in the collet or holder and torqued to the toolholder manufacturer's specification before running. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as carbide tooling can fracture if run with an existing edge defect.
