The ACCUPRO 12181515 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 5/8-inch diameter with a 0.015-inch corner radius, delivering a controlled edge geometry that reduces stress concentrations in machined corners. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral configuration with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, making this tool well suited for high-speed cutting in hardened steels, stainless, and other ferrous alloys. This tool is typically installed by CNC machinists and tool-and-die professionals.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills where a controlled corner radius is required on milled features. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, expanding its application to slot milling, profile milling, and pocket operations. With a 1-1/4-inch length of cut and 3-1/2-inch overall length, it is suited for moderate-depth passes in production and job-shop environments. The single-end design and standard 5/8-inch shank diameter allow direct mounting in standard collets and end mill holders.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 5/8-inch shank diameter collet or end mill holder.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard tooling procedures. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down before changing tooling. Secure the shank in a properly sized collet or end mill holder to the manufacturer-specified torque using calibrated tooling equipment. Verify runout with a dial indicator before initiating cuts, as excessive runout will accelerate edge wear and affect corner radius accuracy.
