The ACCUPRO 12181499 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 5/8-inch diameter cutting face with a 0.03-inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge and produces a controlled blend radius on finished workpiece features. The 1-1/4-inch length of cut (LOC) and 3-1/2-inch overall length (OAL) make it suitable for moderate-depth slotting and peripheral milling. Micrograin carbide construction provides edge retention and wear resistance in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can be used for plunge entry as well as side milling passes.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a controlled corner radius is required on part features such as pockets, slots, and profiled edges. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute spiral are standard for conventional and climb milling on common CNC setups. The bright uncoated finish is appropriate for non-ferrous materials, aluminum, and general-purpose steel cutting at appropriate speeds and feeds. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before inserting or removing the tool from the holder or collet. Seat the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the tool holder to minimize runout and avoid pullout under cutting loads. Verify speeds and feeds against the workpiece material and consult the tooling manufacturer's cutting data before beginning the operation.
