The ACCUPRO 12181489 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in demanding shop environments. With a 0.5512-inch (14.00 mm) mill diameter and a 1.2598-inch (32.00 mm) length of cut, this two-flute tool delivers clean material removal with a 40-degree spiral helix angle. The TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating provides enhanced surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. Micrograin carbide construction supports tight tolerances and extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous applications. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge entry directly into the workpiece.
This tool is suited for milling operations on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual vertical mills in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is standard for most vertical spindle setups. The regular-length body keeps the tool rigid for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling where deflection control matters. Machinists, tool and die makers, and CNC operators handling steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials will find this a direct fit for general-purpose and semi-finish milling work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct drop-in for standard 0.5512-inch (14.00 mm) shank tool holders, collets, and end mill adapters used on vertical CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting regular-length square end mills.
This end mill is installed by a machinist or CNC operator using a compatible collet or end mill holder sized for the 14.00 mm shank diameter. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and power is locked out before changing tooling. Verify runout at the shank before cutting to stay within the shank diameter tolerance of -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches. Do not exceed the rated length of cut engagement, and use appropriate cutting fluid or air blast for chip clearance during operation.
