The ACCUPRO 12181474 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at workpiece corners and extends tool life compared to sharp-corner geometry. The TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, making it well suited for harder workpiece materials. With a 40-degree helix angle and right-hand spiral flutes, this two-flute tool delivers efficient chip evacuation. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral milling. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing install this tool in standard milling setups.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a corner radius profile is required to produce blended transitions between floor and wall features. The centercutting capability supports slot milling, ramping, and helical interpolation entries. The micrograin solid carbide substrate and TiCN coating make it appropriate for steels, stainless steels, cast iron, and similar ferrous materials. The 1/2 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in production and prototype machining environments.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the tool changer or spindle lock engaged before installing or removing this end mill. Use a properly sized ER collet or end mill holder and torque the retention nut to the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or contamination before seating the tool, and verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cut.
