The ACCUPRO 12181463 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter and a 1/8 inch (0.1250 inch) corner radius that blends strength into the cutting edge, reducing stress concentrations and extending tool life in demanding cuts. With 2 right-hand spiral flutes and a bright uncoated finish, this single-end, centercutting tool is built from micrograin carbide for rigidity and wear resistance. The 1 inch length of cut and 3 inch overall length make it well suited for standard depth profiling and slotting work. Machinists and CNC operators install this tool in machining centers and CNC mills.
This end mill is used in production and job-shop environments for contouring, profiling, slotting, and finishing passes on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The centercutting geometry allows plunge entry, adding versatility in pocketing operations. The 40-degree helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduces chatter during side milling passes. It fits standard 1/2 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and hydraulic toolholders commonly found in vertical and horizontal machining centers. Typical users include CNC machinists, tool and die makers, and precision parts manufacturers working in both prototype and production environments.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitment for 1/2 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit toolholders used in CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and the tool changer is disabled before inserting or removing the end mill. Seat the shank fully into the holder to the minimum recommended engagement depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production cycle to avoid premature tool wear or workpiece damage.
