The ACCUPRO 12181446 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features an 11 mm cutting diameter, a 25 mm length of cut, and a 12 mm shank diameter with an overall length of 76 mm. The two-flute geometry combined with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation, making it well-suited for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling in a range of ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating adds surface hardness and lubricity to extend tool life under moderate to high-speed cutting conditions. The micrograin carbide substrate supports edge integrity and resistance to chipping during interrupted cuts.
This end mill is used in CNC machining centers and manual mills where tight tolerances and consistent surface finishes are required. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction suit standard spindle configurations. Center-cutting capability allows for direct plunge entry in addition to conventional side milling. Typical applications include die and mold work, fixture fabrication, and general production machining of steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials. This is a single-end, regular-length tool intended for shop-floor use by machinists and toolroom professionals.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for CNC machining centers and knee mills using 12 mm straight-shank toolholders, collet chucks, or hydraulic chucks configured for right-hand rotation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing any end mill from the toolholder. Verify that the shank is seated to the correct insertion depth per the toolholder manufacturer specification and that the collet or chuck is torqued to the appropriate clamping force before operation. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, as a compromised edge can affect dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
