The ACCUPRO 12181441 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, alloy, and hardened material applications. With a 27/64 inch (0.4219 inch) cutting diameter and a 40-degree helix angle, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and stable cutting performance. The TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance compared to uncoated carbide. The micrograin carbide substrate supports tighter tolerances and longer tool life in demanding cuts. This end mill is a single-end, centercutting design, meaning it can plunge directly into a workpiece as well as side mill and slot. Machinists and CNC operators in job shops, production facilities, and tool rooms are the primary users.
This end mill suits general-purpose milling operations on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, including steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and aluminum alloys. Its regular-length geometry makes it a practical choice for slot milling, profiling, and pocketing where standard reach is sufficient. The 1 inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes, and the right-hand cut with right-hand spiral flute is the standard configuration compatible with conventional vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide end mill for standard ER, R8, or equivalent tool holders accepting a 7/16 inch shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by a machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing tooling. Seat the 7/16 inch shank fully and evenly in the collet or tool holder and torque the retention nut to the tool holder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning the cut, as excess runout accelerates edge wear on carbide tooling.
