The ACCUPRO 12181402 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard-material applications. With a 0.3543 inch (9.00 mm) mill diameter and a 0.9843 inch (25.00 mm) length of cut, this tool is built for accuracy in tight-tolerance work. The micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance needed for extended tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. A TiCN (titanium carbonitride) coating reduces friction and heat buildup at the cutting edge. Machinists and toolroom operators in production shops and job shops rely on this style of end mill for profiling, slotting, and contouring cuts.
This end mill suits CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where a regular-length, right-hand cut tool is required. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces, making it well suited for side milling and full-slot applications in steels, alloy steels, and similar materials. With centercutting geometry, it can also be used for plunge entry. The 2-flute configuration provides additional chip clearance compared to higher flute-count tools, which is advantageous in softer materials or when deeper slots are needed.
Designed as a standard straight-shank square end mill compatible with ER collets, end mill holders, and other tool holders accepting a 10.00 mm (0.3937 inch nominal) shank diameter on CNC machining centers and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the tool holder manufacturer's runout and torque specifications. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked before inserting or removing the end mill. Verify shank engagement depth meets the tool holder minimum insertion requirement to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Inspect the cutting edges for chipping or wear before each use.
