The ACCUPRO 12181387 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 5/16 inch diameter with a 0.0600 inch corner radius, delivering a controlled blend between the flank and end face to reduce stress concentration and extend tool life at corners. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting performance. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and hardness at elevated temperatures, making this tool well-suited for ferrous and hardened materials. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops or production environments are the primary users of this tool.
This end mill is used in vertical and horizontal CNC machining centers as well as manual knee mills for slotting, profiling, and peripheral milling operations. The centercutting design allows it to plunge directly into the workpiece, enabling versatile toolpath strategies. Its 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length make it appropriate for light-to-moderate depth applications in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and similar materials where a radiused corner is required for part geometry or to reduce corner chipping.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill suitable for use in standard ER collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, or end mill holders accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter.
This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC technicians following standard toolholding procedures for solid carbide end mills. Always ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before changing tooling. Confirm holder bore cleanliness and proper collet or chuck torque per the toolholder manufacturer specification before running. Do not exceed the tool's rated depth of cut or feed rates for the workpiece material grade being machined.
