The ACCUPRO 12181370 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of metals and hard materials. It features a 5/16-inch diameter with a 0.045-inch corner radius, producing a controlled blend between the floor and wall of a milled pocket or profile. The 2-flute, right-hand spiral geometry supports efficient chip evacuation in a variety of ferrous and non-ferrous applications. With a micrograin carbide construction and bright/uncoated finish, this tool is suited for applications where coating compatibility or re-sharpening is a priority. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this end mill in CNC machining centers and manual knee mills requiring tight radius tolerances.
This end mill is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in both production and job-shop environments. The centercutting design allows direct plunge entry into the workpiece. The single-end configuration with a 3/4-inch length of cut and 2-1/2-inch overall length fits standard tool holders used in light-duty to medium-duty milling setups. It is commonly selected for work on steel, aluminum, brass, and similar materials where a fine corner radius is required to meet part geometry specifications.
Designed as a standard-shank replacement or general-purpose corner radius end mill compatible with 5/16-inch collets, end mill holders, and hydraulic chucks used in CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine fully powered down and the spindle at a complete stop. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder torqued per the tool holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run to confirm seating. Never exceed the manufacturer-recommended depth of cut or feed rate for the workpiece material and tool diameter.
