The ACCUPRO 12181369 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. Built from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers rigidity and wear resistance in demanding cuts. The 5/16 inch diameter tool features a 0.03 inch corner radius that blends floor-to-wall transitions and reduces stress concentrations in milled pockets and slots. With 2 flutes and a 40-degree helix angle, it provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright uncoated finish makes it well suited for non-ferrous metals and general-purpose applications where coating buildup is a concern. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals are the primary installers of this tool.
This end mill is suited for use in vertical machining centers, CNC mills, and manual knee mills running right-hand spindle rotation. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling. Its 3/4 inch length of cut and 5/16 inch shank diameter make it a practical choice for shallow-to-medium-depth pockets in aluminum, brass, copper, plastics, and softer steels. The 2-1/2 inch overall length provides adequate clearance for most standard tool holders and collet chucks without excessive overhang.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit tool for standard 5/16 inch collet chucks, end mill holders, and shrink-fit tool holders used in right-hand CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom personnel. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an off or locked-out state before loading or changing the tool. Seat the shank fully and evenly in the tool holder to the recommended engagement depth per the holder manufacturer's specification. Verify runout at the tool tip with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts to confirm proper seating and minimize premature tool wear.
