The ACCUPRO 12181359 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. With a 9/32-inch (0.2813-inch) cutting diameter and 2-flute geometry, this end mill delivers clean, accurate cuts in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and edge retention suited for demanding shop environments. A 40-degree helix angle promotes chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces. This tool is centercutting, allowing direct plunge entry into workpieces, and features right-hand cut with right-hand spiral fluting. Licensed machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, tool rooms, and production environments are the primary users of this style of end mill.
This end mill suits light to medium milling tasks including slotting, profiling, and contouring where a small-diameter tool is required. The 3/4-inch length of cut and 5/16-inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collets and toolholders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills. The 2-1/2-inch overall length falls within the regular length category, providing good rigidity during cuts. It ships and is sold individually.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement or standard tooling selection for 5/16-inch collets and toolholders on CNC machining centers, knee mills, and similar milling equipment requiring a 9/32-inch diameter square end mill.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per OSHA lockout/tagout procedures. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder to achieve full shank engagement and avoid runout. Verify tool projection and length of cut clearance before initiating the first pass. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use.
