The ACCUPRO 12181355 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 17/64 inch (0.2656 inch) cutting diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 2-flute, spiral-flute geometry set at a 40-degree helix angle. The AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life in dry or high-speed cutting conditions. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it suitable for slotting, profiling, and interpolation operations. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists, tool and die makers, and manufacturing technicians on CNC mills and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for use in job shops, production machining environments, and maintenance repair operations requiring tight-tolerance material removal. The 5/16 inch shank diameter fits standard ER or collet chuck toolholding systems commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC knee mills. The regular length configuration and right-hand cut with right-hand flute orientation make it a straightforward drop-in for general-purpose milling programs. Micrograin carbide substrate supports the demanding cutting conditions typical in steel, stainless, cast iron, and hardened alloy applications.
Designed as an OEM-style cutting tool for use in standard collet chuck or ER toolholding systems accepting a 5/16 inch shank diameter on vertical or horizontal CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in an e-stop or locked-out state before inserting or removing the end mill from the toolholder. Seat the shank to the correct depth in the collet or chuck and torque the retention nut to the toolholder specification. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning any cutting operation to avoid premature tool wear or chipping.
