The ACCUPRO 12181347 is a single-end corner radius end mill designed for precision milling applications in ferrous and hardened materials. Built from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN, it delivers heat resistance and wear life in demanding cutting conditions. The 0.015-inch corner radius reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge, extending tool life in slotting, profiling, and pocket milling operations. With a 40-degree helix angle and 2 right-hand spiral flutes, it promotes efficient chip evacuation. The 0.25-inch diameter and 0.75-inch length of cut make it suitable for fine-detail work in both CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is used in job shops, toolrooms, and production machining environments where tight-tolerance corner radii and smooth floor finishes are required. It is well suited for die and mold work, aerospace components, and precision fixture machining. The centercutting design allows plunge entry in addition to peripheral and slot cuts. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in ferrous alloys, stainless steel, titanium, and similar hard materials where AlTiN coating provides thermal stability.
Designed as a standard shank end mill for use in 1/4-inch collets, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders on CNC machining centers and manual vertical mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist with the machine spindle fully stopped and power isolated before tool changes. Ensure the 1/4-inch shank is seated to the full recommended gauge-line depth in the collet or holder and that the collet nut is torqued per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the collet for wear before use, as runout directly affects corner radius accuracy and tool life. Follow applicable shop safety procedures and machine manufacturer guidelines during setup.
