The ACCUPRO 12181341 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/4 inch mill diameter, a 3/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip and extends part life. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating increases surface hardness and wear resistance, making this end mill well suited for harder workpiece materials. The 2-flute configuration is ideal for slotting and profiling in materials where chip clearance is a priority. This tool is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is commonly used in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines for slotting, profiling, and contouring operations in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. Its single-end, centercutting design allows it to plunge directly into material, expanding its range of tool paths. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional milling setups. The micrograin carbide substrate provides a fine grain structure that supports sharp cutting edges and dimensional consistency across a production run.
Designed as a standard shank end mill with a 1/4 inch shank diameter, compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and milling machine spindles accepting 1/4 inch round shanks in CNC and manual milling setups.
Installation is performed by machinists using a collet chuck or end mill holder sized to the 1/4 inch shank diameter. Ensure the spindle and machine are fully powered down and locked out before changing tooling. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the holder to minimize runout and prevent pullout during cutting. Inspect the collet or holder for wear before use, as excessive runout will reduce tool life and surface finish quality.
