The ACCUPRO 12181323 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metal, alloy, and composite workpiece materials. It features a 15/64 inch (0.2344 inch) mill diameter with a 3/4 inch length of cut and a 1/4 inch shank diameter, giving it a compact, rigid profile suited to close-tolerance work. The 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Built from micrograin carbide, this tool delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for demanding production environments. It is a centercutting design, allowing plunge entry as well as conventional peripheral and slot milling operations. Machinists and toolroom operators in job shops, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing facilities are the primary users.
This end mill is configured as a single-end, 2-flute tool with a spiral right-hand flute and right-hand cut. The 2-flute geometry provides wider gullets for better chip clearance, making it well suited to slotting, plunging, and milling in softer steels, aluminum, and non-ferrous materials where chip load management is critical. The regular length designation keeps the tool stiff and minimizes deflection. At 2-1/2 inches overall length, it fits standard CNC machining center and manual mill toolholding without extended-reach adapters.
Designed as a standard shank replacement end mill for use in 1/4 inch collets, ER collet chucks, and side-lock toolholders on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills requiring a 15/64 inch diameter square end mill.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before inserting or removing any cutting tool. Seat the 1/4 inch shank fully into the collet or toolholder to the minimum clamping depth recommended by the toolholder manufacturer, and torque the retention nut to the toolholder specification. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and verify runout with a dial indicator when tolerance is critical.
