The ACCUPRO 12181294 is a single-end, corner radius end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and intended for precision milling operations in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It carries a 3/16-inch cutting diameter with a 0.03-inch corner radius and a 5/8-inch length of cut, making it well suited for producing consistent, radiused inside corners and contoured profiles. The bright, uncoated finish preserves the as-ground edge geometry and is appropriate for applications where a coating would add undesirable edge buildup. Machinists and toolroom professionals install and run this end mill on CNC machining centers and manual mills requiring tight dimensional control.
This end mill is used in toolroom, die-and-mold, and production milling environments where a small-diameter corner radius tool is required to blend transitions, finish pocket floors, or machine radiused slots. Its centercutting design allows plunge entry, expanding the range of operations it can perform without a pre-drilled pilot. The 2-flute configuration provides adequate chip clearance for both ferrous and non-ferrous workpieces at moderate feed rates. Right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups.
Designed as a standard shank corner radius end mill compatible with 3/16-inch collets, ER collet chucks, and end mill holders used on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before seating or removing the tool. Insert the shank fully into the collet or holder to maximize rigidity and minimize runout; shank diameter tolerance is specified to -0.0001 to -0.0004 inches for precise holder fit. Inspect the collet and holder bore for chips or wear before clamping, as debris will increase runout and shorten tool life.
