The ACCUPRO 12181281 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precise milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 0.1575-inch (4.00 mm) cutting diameter and a 0.5512-inch (14.00 mm) length of cut, this tool handles slotting, profiling, and finishing passes in a range of workpiece materials. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and edge retention at elevated cutting speeds. A 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This is a right-hand cut, right-hand flute configuration with a spiral flute geometry and no chipbreaker. It is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry into a workpiece.
This end mill is suited for use on CNC machining centers and manual knee mills where small-diameter, high-precision cutting is required. The regular length designation and 4.00 mm shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet and end mill holder setups. Typical applications include finish milling, contour work, and pocket milling in steel, aluminum, and similar materials. The uncoated micrograin carbide substrate is well-suited to applications where re-sharpening is anticipated or where specific coatings are not required by the job specification.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use small-diameter end mill for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 4.00 mm (0.1575-inch) shank in standard collet or end mill holder systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer or collet is properly torqued before beginning any cutting operation. Verify runout with a dial indicator after seating the tool in the holder, as small-diameter carbide end mills are sensitive to deflection and concentricity errors. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommended feeds and speeds for the workpiece material and depth of cut.
