The ACCUPRO 12181280 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling in metalworking and machining applications. With a 5/32-inch (0.1563-inch) cutting diameter and a 1/2-inch length of cut, this tool removes material cleanly in ferrous and non-ferrous metals. The AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating extends tool life in high-heat cutting environments. The 40-degree helix angle and spiral flute geometry promote efficient chip evacuation. Micrograin carbide construction provides the hardness and wear resistance required for demanding production work. This is a single-end, centercutting tool, meaning it can plunge directly into workpiece material as well as cut laterally.
This end mill is suited for CNC machining centers, knee mills, and manual milling machines where tight tolerances and clean finishes are required. The 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard collet systems and toolholders in that size range. With a regular-length profile and 2-inch overall length, it is appropriate for shallow-to-moderate depth milling in steel, stainless, cast iron, aluminum, and similar materials. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals use this size for slotting, profiling, and pocketing operations in smaller workpieces or tight-access areas.
Designed for use in standard collet chucks, ER collets, and end mill holders with a 3/16-inch bore. Suitable for CNC and manual milling setups requiring a 3/16-inch shank single-end square carbide tool.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing any end mill from the toolholder. Ensure the collet or toolholder bore matches the 3/16-inch shank diameter and that the tool is seated to the proper gauge length before tightening. Follow machine manufacturer torque specifications for collet nut tightening and verify runout with a dial indicator before production use.
