The ACCUPRO 12181264 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining applications. It features a 1/8 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius and a TiCN (Titanium Carbonitride) coating that increases surface hardness and wear resistance for extended tool life. The 2-flute, single-end geometry with a 40-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. Micrograin carbide construction provides the rigidity and edge retention needed for tight-tolerance work on hardened steels, stainless, and other demanding materials. This end mill is installed and operated by machinists, tool-and-die makers, and CNC programmers in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes where a radiused corner profile is required to reduce stress concentrations or meet part geometry specifications. The centercutting design allows plunge entry, making it useful for slot milling, pocket milling, and contour operations on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting orientation are standard for conventional CNC spindle setups. With a 1/2 inch length of cut and 1-1/2 inch overall length, it is well matched to shallow-depth work in confined features and thin-wall components.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use end mill compatible with standard 1/8 inch collets and toolholders on CNC vertical machining centers, manual knee mills, and die-sinking setups requiring a corner radius end mill geometry.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Secure the shank in a clean, properly sized 1/8 inch collet or end mill holder, torquing to the toolholder manufacturer specification to prevent pullout. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning a production run. Always spin the spindle down to a complete stop before changing or measuring the tool.
