The ACCUPRO 12181257 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal and hard material applications. With a 1/8 inch diameter, a 1/2 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius, this tool produces smooth, radiused edges while reducing corner chipping and stress concentration at the cutting edge. The micrograin carbide construction provides hardness and wear resistance suited to demanding cutting conditions. At 1-1/2 inches overall length with a 1/8 inch shank, this end mill fits standard collet toolholding systems. It is single-end, centercutting, and intended for use by machinists and CNC operators in production and job shop environments.
This end mill is well suited to finishing passes in slot milling, profile milling, and contouring where a controlled corner radius is required on the workpiece. The right-hand spiral flute geometry and 40-degree helix promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. The bright uncoated finish makes it a practical choice for non-ferrous metals, aluminum, and general-purpose machining where coating is not required. Its compact diameter makes it appropriate for detail work, small-feature machining, and tight-radius contouring on CNC mills and machining centers.
Designed for use in CNC mills and machining centers with standard 1/8 inch collet or toolholding systems. Suitable for general-purpose milling, profiling, and contouring applications in non-ferrous metals and similar materials.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe state. Ensure the collet and toolholder are clean and within specification before seating the shank. Verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping to confirm proper seating. Follow the machine tool manufacturer and applicable shop safety guidelines for tool change procedures.
