The ACCUPRO 12181242 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. With a 3/32 inch (0.0938 inch) cutting diameter and a 9/32 inch (0.2813 inch) length of cut, this tool is built for small-feature work where tight tolerances and tool rigidity are critical. The 1/8 inch shank diameter and 1-1/2 inch overall length make it well-suited for compact workholding setups. Manufactured from micrograin solid carbide, it delivers the hardness and wear resistance required for high-speed cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Machinists and CNC operators select this end mill for detailed slot milling, profiling, and pocketing applications.
This end mill is intended for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines where small-diameter tooling is required. Its centercutting geometry allows both plunge and peripheral cuts, adding flexibility on the shop floor. The 30-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduces cutting forces in shallow-to-moderate depth passes. Typical applications include mold and die work, prototype machining, and precision component production where small features demand accurate, consistent tooling.
Designed as a standard 1/8 inch shank square end mill compatible with ER collet chucks, end mill holders, and other toolholding systems accepting 1/8 inch round shanks on CNC milling machines and manual knee mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the machine tool manufacturer's guidelines. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Verify collet or holder runout is within acceptable limits before starting a cut, as excessive runout on small-diameter carbide end mills increases the risk of tool breakage. Secure the shank to the full recommended engagement depth in the holder to maximize rigidity.
