The ACCUPRO 12180834 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal cutting and machining applications. It features a 1 inch cutting diameter, a 2 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 1 inch shank diameter. The 7-flute geometry combined with a 37.5-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and improved surface finish at higher feed rates. The nACRo coating provides thermal and wear resistance, extending tool life in demanding cutting conditions. Micrograin carbide construction delivers the hardness and edge retention needed for ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This end mill is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in CNC and manual milling machines.
This end mill is suited for finish and semi-finish milling passes where higher flute counts and a quality coating are required to maintain dimensional accuracy and surface quality. The right-hand cut and right-hand spiral flute configuration is the standard orientation for conventional CNC machining centers. The centercutting design allows plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot cutting operations, giving the tool flexibility across a range of milling strategies in production and job shop environments.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines accepting a 1 inch straight shank toolholder. Verify toolholder bore tolerance and runout specifications before installation.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Secure the shank fully in a properly sized collet or end mill holder, ensuring adequate engagement depth to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Confirm spindle and toolholder runout is within acceptable limits before running the tool at full feed and speed. Follow machine manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when handling carbide cutting tools.
