The ACCUPRO 12180832 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for high-performance milling in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 2-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 5 inch overall length with a matching 3/4 inch shank. Seven spiral flutes with a 37.5-degree helix angle and an nACRo finish allow aggressive metal removal rates while resisting built-up edge and heat at the cutting zone. The micrograin carbide substrate provides the hardness and toughness required for demanding cutting conditions in production and job-shop environments. Licensed machinists and CNC programmers running vertical or horizontal machining centers will find this tool well suited to finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This end mill is suited for milling slots, profiles, and pockets on a CNC machining center or manual knee mill where a right-hand cut, right-hand spiral configuration is required. The centercutting geometry allows direct plunge entry, eliminating the need for a pre-drilled start hole in many applications. The extended 2-1/4 inch length of cut accommodates deeper pocket work without requiring a long-reach variant. The nACRo PVD coating improves performance in alloy steels, stainless steels, and hardened materials.
Designed as a standard 3/4 inch shank square end mill compatible with ER, CAT, BT, and straight-collet toolholders used on CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills that accept 3/4 inch shank tooling.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle and toolholder are completely powered down and locked out before loading or changing the end mill. Seat the shank to the minimum recommended engagement depth in the toolholder collet and torque the retention nut per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or coating damage before initiating a new program run.
