The ACCUPRO 12180650 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in ferrous and hard materials. It features a 1-inch diameter with a 0.06-inch corner radius and an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating that improves heat resistance and extends tool life at elevated cutting speeds. The 4-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with variable index spacing reduces chatter and improves surface finish. With a 1.75-inch length of cut and 4-inch overall length, this single-end, centercutting tool is suited for roughing and finishing passes in CNC machining centers.
This end mill is commonly used in job shop and production machining environments where tight tolerances and consistent edge quality are required. The centercutting design allows plunge milling, and the micrograin carbide substrate supports high-speed and high-feed applications in alloy steels, stainless steels, hardened materials, and titanium alloys where AlTiN coatings perform best. It is installed and run by machinists and CNC operators working in tool-and-die, aerospace, and general metalworking applications.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1-inch straight shank. Suited for high-speed milling of ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steels, and titanium alloys where AlTiN coating performance is applicable.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the machine powered down and spindle locked. Secure the 1-inch shank in a properly sized end mill holder or collet chuck, ensuring adequate engagement depth per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Inspect the shank and holder bore for chips or burrs before seating the tool. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and running initial cuts.
