The ACCUPRO 12180586 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling of ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/4 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius and a 3/8 inch length of cut, making it well-suited for profile milling, slotting, and finishing passes where edge integrity matters. The micrograin carbide substrate paired with an AlTiN coating provides heat resistance and wear life in demanding cutting environments. With 4 flutes and a right-hand spiral flute direction, this tool delivers efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. Machinists and tool-and-die professionals install this tool in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
This end mill is intended for use in ferrous metals, hardened steels, stainless steel, and similar materials where an AlTiN coating offers thermal protection at elevated cutting speeds. The single-end, centercutting design allows plunge cutting as well as conventional side milling. The 1/4 inch shank diameter fits standard ER collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found in vertical machining centers and CNC routers. It is well-suited for finish milling of pockets, contours, and profiles requiring a controlled corner radius.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-fit cutting tool for CNC machining centers and manual mills accepting a 1/4 inch shank diameter in standard ER collet chucks or end mill holders.
This end mill is installed by machinists or CNC operators and should be secured in a clean, properly sized collet or end mill holder to rated torque specifications per the tool holder manufacturer. Inspect the shank and collet bore for chips or debris before seating the tool. Always verify spindle direction is set to right-hand rotation before engaging the cut. Follow machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety protocols when setting tool offsets and making first-pass cuts.
