The ACCUPRO 12180469 is a solid carbide square end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch cutting diameter, a 1-5/8 inch length of cut, and a 4 inch overall length with a 3/4 inch shank diameter. The tool is constructed from micrograin solid carbide and coated with AlTiN (Aluminum Titanium Nitride) for extended tool life at elevated cutting temperatures. Four spiral flutes with a 40-degree helix angle promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. This end mill is centercutting, allowing plunge milling in addition to peripheral and slot milling. It is installed and used by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop settings.
This end mill is suited for high-speed milling of ferrous metals, hardened steels, cast iron, and similar alloys in both conventional and climb milling applications. The right-hand cut and right-hand flute configuration is standard for use in conventional vertical and horizontal machining centers. The AlTiN coating provides heat resistance that extends tool life in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes within its length-of-cut range of 1.5 to 2.0 inches.
Designed as a standard shank replacement end mill for CNC vertical machining centers and manual mills accepting a 3/4 inch straight shank tool holder or collet.
This end mill is installed by machinists using an appropriate 3/4 inch collet chuck or end mill holder on a CNC or manual milling machine. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is powered down or in an e-stop state before changing tooling. Verify shank seating depth and runout with a dial indicator before initiating a cut. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety standards when setting feeds, speeds, and depth of cut.
