The ACCUPRO 12180356 is a double-end corner rounding end mill designed for precision edge contouring on metal workpieces. Built from solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) coating, it delivers high heat resistance and extended tool life during dry or high-speed machining. The 0.14-inch corner radius produces consistent, repeatable edge profiles on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a 3/8-inch mill diameter, 3/8-inch shank diameter, and 0.095-inch tip diameter, this tool fits standard end mill toolholders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills. The double-end design provides two usable cutting ends, reducing cost-per-edge in production environments.
This corner rounding end mill is suited for machine shops, tool rooms, and production floor applications where edge breaking and corner profiling are required on steel, stainless, cast iron, and hard alloys. The right-hand cutting and right-hand flute direction make it compatible with conventional CNC spindle rotation. It is typically used in CNC milling operations where burr removal, radius blending, and part aesthetics are part of the finishing process. Machinists and CNC programmers in general manufacturing, aerospace component work, and precision fabrication shops are the primary users.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for standard 3/8-inch shank corner rounding end mill applications in CNC machining centers and manual milling machines using ER or side-lock toolholding systems.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe state before changing tooling. Secure the shank fully within the collet or toolholder to the recommended engagement depth for the holder type in use. Verify runout with a dial indicator before beginning production cuts, as excessive runout accelerates carbide edge wear.
