The ACCUPRO 12179691 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. It features a 3/4 inch diameter with a 0.03 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations and extends tool life at the cutting edge. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry with a 35-degree helix angle provides efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating adds surface hardness and lubricity, making it well suited for harder workpiece materials. This tool is single-end and centercutting, allowing plunge entry as well as standard peripheral and slot milling. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers in job shop and production machining settings.
This end mill is used in milling applications where a small corner radius is required to blend floor-to-wall transitions, reduce tool chatter, or meet part print radius callouts. Its 1-5/8 inch length of cut and 4 inch overall length make it appropriate for moderate-depth pockets and slots in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. The micrograin carbide substrate supports higher cutting speeds and feeds compared to standard carbide grades. It is a strong fit for CNC vertical machining centers and manual knee mills running steel, stainless, cast iron, and similar materials.
Designed as an OEM-style solid carbide corner radius end mill for use in standard 3/4 inch collets, end mill holders, or shrink-fit toolholders on CNC and manual milling machines.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following standard toolholding procedures. Ensure the shank is fully seated and properly torqued in the toolholder before operation. Verify spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut against the material being machined before starting the cut. Inspect the cutting edges for wear or chipping before each use and replace the tool if damage is observed.
