The ACCUPRO 12179669 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling operations in metal fabrication and machining environments. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.02 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip and extends tool life in demanding applications. The 35-degree helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. A TiCN coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance, making this end mill well-suited for use in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. It is installed and operated by machinists and CNC tool setters working in production shops, job shops, and maintenance machining environments.
This end mill is a single-end, centercutting tool with a right-hand flute direction and right-hand cutting direction. The stub-length profile and 1/4 inch shank diameter make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. It is appropriate for slotting, profiling, and pocket milling where a corner radius geometry is specified to blend radii into part features or reduce corner chipping. The micrograin carbide substrate provides added rigidity and edge retention in interrupted cuts and hard materials.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-use solid carbide corner radius end mill for standard 1/4 inch collet chucks, shrink-fit holders, and end mill holders used in CNC machining centers and manual mills.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tool setter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully powered down and at a complete stop before changing tooling. Seat the 1/4 inch shank fully into the holder to the recommended gauge line and torque the retention screw or collet nut per the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify runout with a dial indicator after installation before beginning a cut.
