The ACCUPRO 12179334 is a single-end corner radius end mill ground from micrograin solid carbide and finished with an AlTiN coating. It cuts a 3/16-inch (0.1875-inch) diameter path with a 5/8-inch (0.6250-inch) length of cut and a 2-inch overall length. The corner radius measures 0.0100 inch, breaking sharp edges and reducing stress concentrations on finished workpiece corners. Three right-hand spiral flutes provide efficient chip evacuation and smooth surface finishes. The 40-degree helix angle reduces cutting forces and supports aggressive feed rates in ferrous and high-temp alloy materials. Centercutting geometry allows plunge milling as well as peripheral and slot milling. Installed by machinists and CNC operators in production and tool room environments.
This end mill is suited for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and high-temperature alloys in both production and prototype settings. The AlTiN coating increases surface hardness and thermal resistance, making it effective in dry or minimal-lubrication cutting conditions. It is a strong choice for profiling, contouring, and slot milling operations where a controlled corner radius is required to match part print specifications. The 3/16-inch shank diameter fits standard collet chucks and end mill holders commonly found on vertical machining centers and CNC mills.
Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 3/16-inch shank end mill holders, collet chucks, and shrink-fit tooling systems accepting a 3/16-inch shank diameter on vertical or horizontal CNC machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the control is in an e-stop or tool-change state before handling or inserting cutting tools. Verify collet or holder bore size matches the 3/16-inch shank before clamping. Inspect the tool shank and holder bore for chips or debris prior to assembly to maintain runout specifications.
